ISIS/Daesh did more than destroy buildings in Shingal (also known as Sinjar), Iraq and the surrounding cities and villages. Their genocide toward the Yezidi people left heartbreak that cannot be put into words.

The tragedies have continued since 2014. There are still Yezidi’s enslaved by Daesh, mass graves that have not had individual DNA tests run, and communities that have not been rebuilt.
 

The pain from ISIS/Daesh and years of war have been felt by the whole country of Iraq.
